Personal year 1

A blank page opens: what you launch here has eight years to grow.

Personal year 1 comes back once every nine years: it is the year in which your day and month of birth, added to the year you look at and reduced, give 1.

What this year stands for

The 1 opens the nine-year cycle. It follows the review of year 9 and only comes back with the next cycle. It is the moment of departure, when you decide and count on your own strength.

What it favors

Clear projects and a first concrete step suit it well. You can listen to all the advice, but you move forward mostly by following your own vision.

What holds it back

Rushing lies in wait. Imposing your choices on those around you, or jumping in without studying the ground, damages the momentum of the start.

In practice

  • Write down what you want to launch and look at it closely.
  • Take a first step you can keep up.
  • Keep your idea to yourself for a few days so you don’t scatter your drive.

Its place in the cycle

It comes after year 9, which closes the previous cycle, and prepares year 2, when what was launched ripens.

For 2027 in particular: personal year 1 in 2027.

In the cycle, this year follows personal year 9 and comes before personal year 2.

The 1 itself, outside any position: the number 1 in numerology.

The nine years of the cycle are gathered on the personal year page.

Finding your personal year, step by step

Write down your birth day and month, then the year you want to look at, with all four digits. Add up all the digits. If the total has two digits, add them again, until only one is left, from 1 to 9. Here you always reduce all the way, even when an 11 or a 22 shows up along the way. Change the year and you get the matching personal year. The number moves up one step each year, and after the 9 it starts again at 1.

For a birthday on August 23 and the year 2026: 2+3+0+8+2+0+2+6 = 23, then 2+3 = 5. The personal year is 5. The same date in 2027 gives 2+3+0+8+2+0+2+7 = 24, then 2+4 = 6. The number has moved up one step.
