In numerology, 7 is one of the nine digits every total reduces to: each position that comes to 7, life path, year or name number, takes on its colour.
The 7 withdraws to understand. Modern numerology links it to the day of rest that follows six days of work, a time of distance and reflection, and to the figure of the sage. Its words are rare, but when they come they carry weight.
Seven is a solitary number: within the first ten, it is the only one that is produced by no other number and produces none. The Pythagoreans called it Minerva, the goddess born without a mother. It also set the rhythm of time, with the four weeks of the lunar month and the seven-year periods of life. The Bible makes it the day of rest.
The 7 sees a task through to the end and keeps a secret without effort. It often gives off a calm that impresses. Even when surrounded by people, it stays a little mysterious, like a shy soul that doesn’t dare say everything.
It opens the door only when it has decided to, and those around it don’t always understand. It can fall back on the past, doubt its worth or slide toward melancholy. Its work is to be alone without being lonely, and to let a few trusted people understand it.
