A master number is a total that you keep as it is instead of reducing it.
When an addition lands on 11 or 22, many readings stop there and keep the number as it is: this is a master number. Its reduction is shown too, 11/2 and 22/4, because a master is always read together with its digit. It describes a more demanding slope, which is not necessarily lived at that level.
The 11 and the 22 are kept when they come out as the last total of a position, such as the life path, expression, soul urge, personality, strength or maturity. A birth day of 11 or 22 is read as it is. The personal year, month and day are always reduced to a single digit. The 33 is also kept and noted 33/6, even though some schools bring it down to 6. Practice is not unanimous, and the practitioner is free to reduce everything.
The 11 stands on a threshold, between a cycle that ends and another that begins.
The 22 thinks big and builds for real.
The 33 doesn’t have the same status everywhere: it is kept here, even though some schools bring it down to 6.
Each master number has its own page: life path number 11, life path number 22 and life path number 33.
All the numbers are gathered on the numbers in numerology page.
